Wireless or wired

Wireless battery fixtures run about ten hours and go anywhere, including in front of a drape or behind a sweetheart table where there is no outlet. Wired fixtures are brighter and never run out, but they need a cable route that does not cross a walkway.

Most weddings use both: wired on the long walls where there is power, wireless for the awkward corners.

Choosing a colour that works in your room

A colour is not a colour until it is on your wall. Amber on cream reads warm and expensive; the same amber on a beige-pink wall reads dirty. Deep blue eats light and can make a large room feel empty. We set colour on site, with the house lights at the level they will be at, and adjust.

The full reasoning, with what works on which wall, is in the uplighting colour guide.

Check your date

The first question is always whether the date is open. Start there: the rest takes two minutes.

1. What is the event? Step 1 of 5
Choose a service
Estimate Shown on each option above Flat quote confirmed before any work starts. Prices in CAD, before HST.
2. Where will it happen? Step 2 of 5
Name the venue if it is booked. If you are still choosing, leave this blank. The date is enough to start.
3. When is it? Step 3 of 5
Choose a time window
If the date is not fixed, choose the first day of the month you are aiming for and tell us in the notes. Popular Saturdays often book nine to twelve months ahead. Short-notice dates are still worth asking about.
4. How do we reach you? Step 4 of 5

Two separate permissions, because in Canadian law they are two separate things. Ticking one never ticks the other, both are optional, and neither changes how we handle your booking.

Common questions

How much is wedding uplighting in Toronto?

From $650 for 20 fixtures, $850 for a typical 200-guest room with 30, and $1,100 for 40. Delivery, placement, colour setting and strike are included.

Can you match my exact wedding colour?

We can get very close, and we set it in the actual room rather than from a swatch. Some colours behave differently on a beige banquet wall than on a screen. We will show you the options on site.

Is uplighting battery powered?

Both are available. Battery fixtures run about ten hours and go where there is no outlet; wired fixtures are brighter. Most rooms use a mix.

Can the colour change during the night?

Yes. A common pattern is warm white for dinner, your accent colour for the reception, and a shift for the last hour. It is included when we are running lighting anyway.

Do you set up and remove them?

Yes, both, and it is in the price. Strike happens after the last guest leaves, not during the last dance.
