How a booking in Türkiye actually works
Emshab is a Canadian company that also works a Turkish coast. If you are about to send a deposit across a border, you are owed a straight account of how that works.

Who is actually on the ground
The Alanya operation is fronted by the same person as the Toronto one, DJ Dynamite, and is based out of Lui Beach & Lounge on Ahmet Tokuş Boulevard in the Güller Pınarı district of Alanya. That is a venue we work at, not premises we hold. Emshab holds no premises in either country. The address below is the venue we work out of, not an office, and post should not be sent there.

Local gear, not shipped gear
In Toronto, Emshab owns every speaker, light, stand, drape and cable that goes on site. That is the whole argument there and it stays true there. In Alanya, the production inventory is held and sourced locally. Only the personal end travels: controllers, laptops, headphones, radio mic packs.
That is a deliberate answer and not a compromise, for three reasons.
- The electricity is different. Türkiye is 230 V at 50 Hz on Schuko sockets; Canada is 120 V at 60 Hz. A North American inventory does not run here without transformers on everything, and anything with a motor or a fan is running at the wrong speed.
- Temporary import is a real process. Professional equipment enters Türkiye on an ATA Carnet. Turkish customs require the general list supplied as a spreadsheet on a USB key at the point of entry, may restrict the stay to six months, and require any representative acting for the holder to be named in Box B with a power of attorney approved by a Turkish consulate. Late re-export carries penalties. It is entirely doable for a tour. It is not sane for a Saturday wedding.
- Salt air. Equipment that lives on a beach in August does not have a long life, and you do not want that equipment to be the same equipment that has to work in a Vaughan ballroom in December.
What this means for you: the sound and light requirements are specified in the technical rider, and the equipment, crew and operating plan are confirmed with your venue before the event.

The constraint in peak season is almost never us. It is the venue, and then the crew, and then the hotel rooms your guests need. Book the room first and tell us the date the day you have it.
Money: euros, lira, and why
We quote international clients in euros. Every published destination-wedding budget in this country is denominated in euros, the entire supply chain here prices that way for foreign work, and the alternative, quoting a lira figure eighteen months out, puts the currency risk on a couple who have no way to hedge it. A euro figure agreed today is the figure on the invoice on the day.
For clients resident in Türkiye we quote in Turkish lira. That is not a preference. Türkiye’s Decree No. 32 restricts foreign-currency and FX-indexed pricing in contracts between parties resident in Türkiye, with an exception for contracts where one party is not a Turkish national and for foreign-currency-earning services. Which side of that line your booking falls on depends on who is signing, and we will tell you which one you are on before you pay anything.
Payment

- Fixed, in writing, in euros. It does not move after you accept it.
- Deposit
- The amount and refund terms are stated in your written quote and contract before you pay.
- Balance
- The due date is stated in your written payment schedule.
- Method
- The accepted payment method is stated on your quote and invoice.
- Bank charges
- International transfer fees are the sender’s. Send the gross figure or the invoice will be short.
- Turkish VAT (KDV)
- Shown as a separate line when it applies to your booking.
- Cancellation
- The cancellation and venue-cancellation terms are stated in your contract before you pay.
Planning figures only. Your event is priced after we know the venue, guest count and production scope. The written quote you approve is the figure that applies to your booking.
Travel and the day itself
- Within the Alanya district (Oba, Tosmur, Kestel, Mahmutlar, Kargıcak, Cikcilli, Konaklı, Avsallar) there is no travel charge.
- Manavgat, Side and Gazipaşa are within the normal working radius and carry a stated travel line rather than a surcharge folded into the rate.
- Antalya city is about two hours each way. We quote it openly, including whether the out time makes an overnight necessary.
- Your guests arrive through Gazipaşa–Alanya (GZP), thirty minutes from town, or Antalya (AYT), about two hours. GZP is smaller and seasonal; AYT has the routes. Worth knowing before you set a date, because it decides what your guests pay to attend.
What we will tell you no about
- A quote before we know the venue, the guest count and whether the floor is outdoors.
- Running past a curfew the venue has given in writing.
- Dry hire, outdoors, with mains across a public route.
- Promising MC or non-English language services that are not part of the booking.
- Claiming we know a room we have not loaded into.
Common questions
Is Emshab a Turkish company?
Emshab Entertainment is a Canadian company working two markets. The contracting party for a Türkiye booking, and the currency and tax that follow from it, are stated in your written quote before you pay anything.
Do you ship your equipment from Canada?
No. Only personal controllers, laptops and headphones travel. The production inventory in Alanya is local: the electricity is a different system, temporary import runs on an ATA Carnet with real conditions, and salt air is hard on equipment.
What currency will we be invoiced in?
Euros, for international clients, with the figure fixed when you book. Turkish lira for clients resident in Türkiye, because Turkish currency law constrains foreign-currency contracts between residents.
How much is the deposit?
The deposit amount, refund terms and payment schedule are stated in your written quote and contract before you pay.
Who do we call on the day?
One number, the same one you booked through, reachable on WhatsApp from load-in to out. Not a call centre and not an agency co-ordinator.
What time zone are you on?
Europe/Istanbul, UTC+3 all year: Türkiye does not change the clocks. Toronto is seven hours behind for most of the year, and we will take a planning call at your hour rather than ours.
