Stage and dance floor rental in Toronto

Modular decking for stages and risers, and portable dance floors for rooms that are carpeted, sloped, or outdoors.

Levelled properly. A stage that rocks under a bride is the only thing anyone will remember about it.

Heights from 8 inches to 32 inches. Anything above 24 inches gets a handrail and a proper stair, not a box.

Dance floors

A portable floor matters in three situations: the venue is carpeted, the venue is outdoors, or the venue floor is beautiful and the contract says no.

SizeDancesFrom
12 × 12 ftup to 40 guests$650
16 × 16 ftup to 80 guests$900
20 × 20 ftup to 150 guests$1,300
24 × 24 ftup to 250 guests$1,750

Rule of thumb: about a third of your guest count will be on the floor at peak, and each needs four to five square feet.

Levelling

Almost no venue floor is flat and almost no lawn is close. Every deck gets levelled with proper adjustable feet and checked with a real level before we skirt it. This is boring work and it is the entire difference between a stage and a hazard.

Check your date

The first question is always whether the date is open. Start there: the rest takes two minutes.

1. What is the event? Step 1 of 5
Choose a service
Estimate Shown on each option above Flat quote confirmed before any work starts. Prices in CAD, before HST.
2. Where will it happen? Step 2 of 5
Name the venue if it is booked. If you are still choosing, leave this blank. The date is enough to start.
3. When is it? Step 3 of 5
Choose a time window
If the date is not fixed, choose the first day of the month you are aiming for and tell us in the notes. Popular Saturdays often book nine to twelve months ahead. Short-notice dates are still worth asking about.
4. How do we reach you? Step 4 of 5
5. Review and send Step 5 of 5

Two separate permissions, because in Canadian law they are two separate things. Ticking one never ticks the other, both are optional, and neither changes how we handle your booking.

Common questions

How big should the dance floor be?

About a third of your guests will be dancing at peak, and each needs four to five square feet. For 200 guests that is roughly 20 × 20 ft.

Can you install a dance floor on grass?

Yes, on a levelled sub-base. It needs a site visit first. A slope that looks gentle is often not, and the answer sometimes is a tent floor instead.

How much does stage rental cost in Toronto?

From $700 for an 8 × 12 ft riser installed with skirt. A 16 × 24 ft awards stage is around $1,900.

Is skirting included?

It is $120 on top, and it is worth it. Unskirted decking shows the legs and the cable underneath.

Do you supply stairs and a handrail?

Yes, and above 24 inches we insist on them.
