Includes bases, uprights, crossbars, drape, delivery, installation and strike. Weighted bases are used everywhere; we do not tape uprights to a wall.
What it is actually for
- Head-table and stage backdrops. The single most photographed wall of the night.
- Covering the room you do not want. Emergency doors, a service wall, a mural from 1987.
- Dividing a room. Cocktail on one side, dinner on the other, revealed at the right moment.
- Behind a step and repeat, so the print has a clean field behind it.
Practicalities
What we need from the venue
- Floor
- Level. Bases sit on the floor and cannot be shimmed indefinitely.
- Access
- Two hours before the room is dressed, ideally before tables.
- Clearance
- Nothing within 18 inches behind the line: bases are 18" wide.
- Fire
- All drape is inherently flame-retardant, certificates available.

Common questions
How much does pipe and drape cost in Toronto?
From $450 for a 20 ft run at 8 ft high, delivered, installed and struck. A 40 ft backdrop at 12 ft is around $750.
What colours do you stock?
Black, white and ivory in quantity. Other colours are available on order with about two weeks' notice.
Is the drape fire rated?
Yes, inherently flame-retardant, and we can supply the certificate for venues that ask.
How high can you go?
16 ft on standard uprights. Above that we quote a different system and it needs more floor space behind the line.
Do you install and remove it?
Always. Pipe and drape that has been installed badly is more noticeable than no drape at all.
