Terms
The terms that apply when you book Emshab. Short, because they should be.
Last updated September 2026.
Quotes
A quote is fixed for thirty days and is fixed in scope. If we underestimated the work, that is our cost, not a change order. If you change the scope, we requote before doing anything.
Booking and deposit
A booking is confirmed when the deposit is received, not when a date is discussed. Until then the date is available to anyone.
Cancellation
Deposits are non-refundable because the date comes off the calendar. There is no further cancellation penalty. If we cancel for any reason within our control, you receive everything back and we help you find a replacement.
Access
You are responsible for making sure we can get in, park, and reach the work area at the agreed time. Where a building requires an elevator booking, a certificate of insurance or advance security clearance, tell us early and we will supply what is needed.
Our work
We do the work described in the quote, to the standard described on this site, and we stand behind it. If something we set up fails during your event because of how we set it up, that is on us. A spare is on site for everything that can fail.
What we do not do
We decline work outside our scope instead of attempting it. Where a job needs a licensed trade (a building's electrical panel, rigging to structure) we say so and refer you on.
Liability
We carry $2 million in commercial general liability insurance and can provide a certificate on request. Our liability is limited to the value of the work performed except where Ontario law does not permit that limit.
Payment
Terms are stated on the invoice. All prices on this site are in Canadian dollars and exclude HST.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario.
